CAHO's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. VENKATESH THUPPIL

Professor Emeritus, St. Johns Medical College received CAHO's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering work in formulating and promoting national accreditation system for medical laboratories including training over 10,000 medical laboratory personnel, helping in institutionalising of quality movement in India.
For his outstanding contribution in introducing LEAD free gasoline in India and establishing 48-LEAD clinics in the country aimed at mitigating adverse impact of LEAD on community at large for which he is widely acknowledged as LEAD MAN of INDIA
For being PATRON and in playing key role in founding of CAHO; an organization to champion the cause of accreditation to improve patient safety in India. Dr Girdhar Gyani seen in the picture was the first person to be awarded Lifetime Achievement Award.
