CAHO- WORLD PATIENT SAFETY DAY 2023 COMPETITIONS

Greetings from CAHO!

We are delighted to extend our invitation to you for the upcoming World Patient Safety Day celebrations, an event dedicated to advancing patient safety and enhancing healthcare quality.

The program this year will be in line with the WHO theme "Engaging Patients with Patient Safety" to emphasize that the patient centric care is safer care. 

We invite you to take part in exciting contests planned on this occasion to assess skills in patient safety and engagement, with a chance for you and your team to win rewards and get recognised.

Participate in the Contests:

1. SKIT COMPETITION

Showcase innovative approaches of patient engagement through Skits, Theatrical Presentations or Role Portrayals. 

Themes:

• Leveraging Communication Tools for Patient Safety
• Patient Engagement in Medication Safety
• Patient Engagement in Discharge Process

2. E-POSTER COMPETITION  

Submit your e-poster focusing on any of the designated themes and stand a chance to win exciting rewards:

Themes:

• Benefits of Setting up Patient Advisory Council
• Impact of Patient Advisory Council on Patient Experience
• Impact of Patient Advisory Council on Healthcare outcomes

Who Can Participate:

Quality Managers, Clinical Department Leaders, Hospital Administrators, Infection Control Officers, Nursing Leaders, Healthcare Management Students, Social Workers, Patient Experience Team members & Others.

Guidelines for e-poster:

• Submissions open to individuals or teams (max 2 members per team).
• Posters format- portrait style orientation, ensuring all content in a single window/slide. 
• Use the provided template for customizable design

• Submit E-Posters as PDF format under 50 MB. 
• All Participants will receive certificates 
• Winners will be acknowledged in the World Patient Safety Day Program on 17th September (10am – 12:30 pm IST).

3. JINGLES COMPETITION   

What is a jingle?     

It is a short, simple tune, with words, which is used to promote a program/ product or event.

How long can the Jingle be? 

It can be 30 seconds long. (MP3/MP4)

What is the theme?

• Patients’ role in Patient Advisory Council (PAC)
• Patients’ responsibilities in PAC 

What is the purpose?

To create awareness about PAC, which aims at “Engaging patients for patient safety” and to encourage participation of stakeholders - healthcare as well as patients.

Who can participate?

Any Healthcare Professional: Clinicians, Nurses, Paramedical Staffs, Quality & Accreditation professionals, Safety Officers, Top Leadership
