The ACE program aims to improve the capacity of the Central Sterilization Supply Department (CSSD) of Indian hospitals.

is an in-house department within the hospital responsible for supplying clean, sterile equipment used in various procedures within the hospital.
The Consortium of Accredited Health Care Institutions (CAHO) has launched the ACE program as a quality improvement initiative in collaboration with 3M India, which acts as a technical guidance partner for this initiative. According to the statement, CAHO
has decided to tackle this challenge and increase the capacity of CSSD settings throughout Indian hospitals. Given the fact that the teams / technicians here do not have a structured training program designed around this department and it is difficult
to address protocol compliance gaps, the challenge is very high. its big.
Rajiv Gupta, Country Business Leader of 3M India – Healthcare Business Group, said: ACE is a well-defined quality improvement program that addresses the learning requirements of the CSSD team as well as improving the CSSD process in healthcare facilities. The purpose of the entire program is to make the CSSD team aware of current process gaps and people’s knowledge of the processes and fill the gaps. The timing of release is just right. The ACE Program, short for Awareness-Compliance-Excellence, is a one-year program with multiple phases of engagement with participating hospitals throughout the year. The first is a recognition phase aimed at educating the CSSD team on standards and helping them adopt best practices in accordance with international sterilization guidelines. The second phase, compliance, is when CAHO auditors visit participating hospitals, perform audits, and propose gaps that can be filled to improve the efficiency of the CSSD department. The final step in excellence is to follow the recommendations and guidelines and identify the hospital with the best standards adopted. The hospital will receive direct approval from CAHO, which will be announced at the 2022 CAHO Annual Conference (CAHOCON 2022).
